The Abingdon Medical Practice Patient Information
Practice Patient Forum and Patient Representative Group (PRG)
The Abingdon Medical practice has had a Patient Forum for many years. The Patient Forum meets 3 times a year. It is there to ensure that patients are involved in decisions about the range and quality of services. Patient Forums aim to represent the practice's patient profile. Not everyone who is interested can find the time to attend forum meetings so the Virtual Patient Representative group (VPRG) has been set up (More information). These patients can be contacted by email and provide their feedback remotely.
Patient Forum Meeting Minutes
At the October 2015 Patient Forum meeting it was decided to publish our minutes in this section:
Patient Forum Minutes up to July 2017
Patient Forum Minutes February and July 2018
Patient Forum Minutes December 2018
Patient Forum Minutes April 2019
Patient Forum Minutes September 2019
Patient Forum Minutes December 2019
Patient Diary of Events
It was also suggested that we have a diary of any medical seminars or events that might interest our patients. Email prg@abingdonmedical.co.uk if you have any suggestions to add to this section.
Patient Feedback Forum
There is already a patient discussion forum where it would be useful to have feedback on any information that we have overlooked whether it should be put on the website, in a newsletter or brought up at a Patient Forum meeting, (click here)
Patient Friends and Family Feedback
We would like your feedback on the care or treatment we give you, any time you visit your GP or have contact with the practice. It doesn’t take long. Put us to the test and tell us what is working and what we can improve. You can say what you think without giving your name and we will use the information to plan improvements to our services.
The patient comments are published as Practice News. The latest feedback and actions can be downloaded here (We're listening to your feedback (PDF, 2.00MB))
Healthwatch Central West London

If you want to get involved in more than just your GP surgery contact Healthwatch Central West London, an independent charity and membership organisation working to ensure your voice counts when it comes to shaping and improving local health and care services.
They work with and support people and organisations in the boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster and provide information to help people access and make choices about their health and well-being services.
Patient Information and Leaflets
Unfortunately, due to the size constraints of our first floor waiting area, we have had to put all our leaflets in the downstairs waiting area. If you do not get a chance to see these, we will list them all here on the website.
