Community Corner remains open for walk-ins and appointments at the Violet Melchett Health and Wellbeing Hub, 30 Flood Walk, SW3 5RR on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Patients can be directed to the Community Corner in person, or by sending an email at nhsnwl.vmcommunitycorner@nhs.net

Community Corner offers: 

  • A community space that is open to all three days a week
  • Weekly health and wellness events
  • Informal social prescription and signposting to local community events and services
  • Task-based support (e.g. Patchs, self-referral forms, blue badge applications, phone calls and general admin support)

JANUARY EVENTS

We continue to run our wellness events from Community Corner every Thursday and have already have an exciting calendar of events planned for the start of the year: 

Thursday 4th January 2pm-4pm

Chair Yoga

Gentle chair-based exercises led by professional yoga instructor Gigi

Thursday 11th January 2pm-4pm

Painting Nature

Relaxed art session for all abilities with a focus on the natural world

Thursday 18th January 10.30am-12.30pm 

Walk to Battersea Park 

A gentle but invigorating excursion across the river to one of London’s overlooked parks!

Thursday 25th January 10.30am-12.30pm

Wellness Coffee Morning

Ending January with coffee, cakes and mindful activities

Thursday 1st February 10.30am-12.30pm

Tea & Tour of Chelsea Physic Garden

Enjoy a free walking tour of London’s oldest botanical gardens (see more here)

Exciting things to comeCommunity Corner is looking forward to launching a new website and phone line in the New Year. This will be a great way for everyone to keep up to date with all events, and for patients to book appointments, access information and sign up to events.

Community Corner continues to work on extending its service to Earl’s Court Health and Wellbeing hub, starting with one day a week. Please keep an eye out for updates regarding these satellite sessions.
